High School Students
Duration: 3 Hours.
Description and Outcomes: The career coach will lead an interactive and hands-on workshop to help attendees discover their work profile.
Attendees will take a career assessment, engage in a group discussion to understand their results.
They should be able to explore different levels of commitment and explore unique career path options that match their career assessment results and commitment level.
They will connect each career path option to an academic plan with a college/university program of their choice.
The workshop will include social/emotional learning activities, small group discussions, and presentations.
The workshop will be concluded with an open Q&A session.
They will learn important information about each possible career option such as:
● The nature of the day-to-day activities of that job.
● Typical education, certification and licensing needed.
● Average pay and future growth rate.
● Possible college/university programs.
Session #4 (Sat, Feb 7, 2025 @ 3pm):
Career & College PrepTarget Audience: High School Students
Duration: 1 hourDescription & Outcomes: During this open dialogue attendees will learn how to:
● Explore ideas based on their interests for college majors, careers, and potential pathways after high school.
● Start a dialogue with their teacher or guidance counselors about their post-high school pathways.
● Know where to go for additional research on their desired pathways.
